Yamaha Motor Australia Pty Ltd is conducting a recall campaign on certain YFM90R (RAPTOR) Model ATV Motorcycles regarding the front & rear brake shoe exchange.

YFM90R Model Recall Table

Front and rear brake shoes in affected units (and these parts sold as spare parts) may contain asbestos. The importation of asbestos or goods containing asbestos into Australia has been prohibited under the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 1953 since 31st December 2003.

Available information indicates that these affected units do not pose a measurable health risk through normal use. Exposure to asbestos can result in asbestos-related diseases.

Consumers should not perform any maintenance, repairs or modifications on these affected units that may involve contact with or disturbance of the brake shoes. You will receive further notice on what to do to have the brake shoes replaced free of charge at a Yamaha Dealer.

For further information please contact Yamaha via email: cr@yamaha-motor.com.au or phone: 1300 593 600.

See www.productsafety.gov.au for Australian product recall information.
